A little more about the couple, from the bride — Since we started dating, Dan and I have made a number of trips to or through the mountains; each one creating new and happy memories.   One of the happiest memories was in October when Dan and I went for a hike outside of Canmore and at the top, beside a lake with mountains all around us, he got down on one knee and proposed.   As we planned to have a small, intimate wedding and Dan’s family is from Ontario, Canmore was an easy choice as it offered a beautiful background for our wedding and a great getaway for ourselves and our families to enjoy.
Both Dan and I really wanted our wedding to be low key and stress free.  As our families had not met yet, we also wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm and provided space for everyone to get to know each other.  We had our wedding at The Bear and Bison Inn in Canmore and all of our wishes got checked off the list.  The staff at the Inn took care of everything which allowed us and our families to enjoy not only the day of our wedding but our entire stay at the Inn.
The whole day of the wedding was amazing but there are parts that really stand out as special.  On the morning of the wedding Dan and I went for an early morning walk.  This for me really set the tone of the day and our wedding which was about really being able to take “it” in and enjoy the moment.  At the ceremony, lanterns were lit making an aisle, our families were standing around a fire with hot chocolate and the mountains were in the background… it was absolutely picturesque and a perfect setting to say “I do”.
